ISold It at PrePlayed Pre-owned Product Quality Requirements
We will accept the following quality levels of pre-owned products:
Selling Used Music CDs
- New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened CD or cassette in perfect condition.
- Like New: An apparently unopened CD in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The jewel case is pristine. The liner notes, inclusions, and/or sleeve are in perfect condition. The CD itself is unmarked, with no sign of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift.
- Excellent: A well-cared-for CD that has been listened to, but remains in great condition and plays perfectly. The jewel case may show limited signs of wear, as may the liner notes and inclusions. ISold It at PrePlayed reserves the right to determine if condition is acceptable for purchase.
Selling Used DVDs
- New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened DVD in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.
- Like New: An apparently unopened DVD in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The title box is clean and vivid, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift.
- Excellent: A well-cared-for DVD that has been previously viewed, but remains in great condition. The film is complete, without interruption, and does not skip. The title box may show limited signs of wear, as may the liner notes. ISold It at PrePlayed reserves the right to determine if condition is acceptable for purchase.
Selling Used Video Games
- New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.
- Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The title box is clean and vivid, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift.
- Excellent: A well-cared-for video game that has been played, but remains in great condition. The game plays without interruption, and does not skip. The title box may show limited signs of wear, as may the liner notes and instructions. ISold It at PrePlayed reserves the right to determine if condition is acceptable for purchase.
Selling Used Video Game Consoles
- New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game console in perfect condition with all included accessories in its original packaging with all of its original packaging materials.
- Excellent: A well-cared-for video game console that has been played, but remains in great condition. The game system works perfectly. All original accessories have also been used with only the most minor signs of wear.
- Good: A well-played video game console that shows signs of wear and tear but still works perfectly. The system may be missing an original accessory or two, but nothing included is broken or fails to operate properly. There may be some cosmetic blemishes to the case and accessories that do not interfere with the unit’s operation.
- Non-Working: A video game console that fails to operate properly. Any problem that interferes with the game console's ability to operate fully as originally intended by the manufacturer can constitute a non-working unit. The system may be missing some accessories and show signs of wear and tear; however, the unit still must remain basically intact and complete. We reserve the right to be the sole judge of quality and whether or not a unit is deemed working or non-working.
- Deductions from Working Console Prices as defined by complete Component Accessories (related Cords, Cables, and Controllers) included: We accept game consoles in working and non working condition. All prices displayed are for working console units. Game consoles should include power cords, av cables, controllers (if applicable). Deductions will be made for non-working consoles and missing required accessories as detailed in the game deduction table.
In addition to the above, the pre-owned products you sell to us must comply with the following standards:
- Titles must be in good shape; we cannot accept scratched, chipped, cracked, or stained titles, or titles that skip (this applies to both sides of the title where applicable).
- Titles are priced under the assumption that they will arrive in clean, un-cracked jewel cases or title boxes. A CD, DVD or Video Game received in a substandard jewel case or title box - or no container - will be accepted, but $0.75 will be deducted for each cracked music jewel case and $0.90 will be deducted for each damaged or missing DVD or Game title box/case.
- The cover art, liner notes and instructions must be included, and be in clean condition. All cover art, liner notes, booklets, instructions, tray linings, etc. that came with the original product must be included.
- Only original titles will be accepted; we cannot accept copies.
- CD and DVD, titles are priced under the assumption that the item will arrive in clean and un-scratched condition, although previously viewed, it remains in great condition. and plays without interruption, and does not skip. A CD or DVD received in substandard condition that requires actual refurbishment/resurfacing services, will be accepted, but $0.99 will be deducted from each CD or DVD title price.
- Video Game titles are priced under the assumption that the item will arrive in clean and un-scratched condition, although previously viewed, it remains in great condition. and plays without interruption, and does not skip. A Video Game received in substandard condition that requires actual refurbishment/resurfacing services, will be accepted, but $1.99 will be deducted from each Video Game title price.
- All products are expected to arrive free from any stickers, such as those used for pricing, store identification, or bar-coding. A $0.60 fee per item may be assessed in the instances of stickers that are excessive, hard-to-remove, or damage the case or artwork.
- Electronics items such as game consoles are priced under the assumption that they will arrive in clean, un-cracked console casing. A Game Console received in substandard condition with a cracked case and/or significant cosmetic damage it or its' component accessories will be accepted, but a $5.00 or 20% refurbishment/replacement fee (whichever is greater) will be deducted from each game console system price.
"Cutouts": Products that have slashed, drilled or punctured holes, etc. on their jewel case - we will accept, but we will deduct $0.75 per CD jewel case and $0.90 per DVD or Game title box.
Punched UPC or marked up codes: Some distributors and retailers occasionally mark special sale items by marking up or punching a hole through the UPC code, cover art, liner notes or instructions. We can accept these products, as long as the product meets the normal quality standards.
Promotional products: CDs, DVDs and Video Games stamped Promotional are accepted so long as they are the complete version that was released to the retail stores. We cannot accept advance or screener copies.
Region 1 DVDs: Only Region 1 (North America) DVDs will be accepted.
Video Game Software Platforms: Please note that we currently only accept United States/English titles for the following gaming platforms: Xbox, Xbox 360, GameCube, Playstation 3, Playstation 2, Playstation, Game Boy Advance, PSP, PSP UMD Movie, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS.
Video Game Consoles: Please note that we are currently only accepting the following game consoles compliant with North American power standards: Xbox, Xbox 360, Sony Playstation, Sony Playstation 2, Sony Playstation 3, Sony PSP, Nintendo Gamecube, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Gameboy Advance, and Nintendo DS.
Your shipment will be carefully examined by trained personnel. ISold It at PrePlayed reserves the SOLE right to determine the quality of received products.
